Nippon Japanese Restaurant   

My fiance and I tried this restaurant after looking it up on AOL Cityguide and found that to be a terrible mistake. First, we ordered 2 ice waters and got one iced and one hot. Then I asked that none of the foods have cucumber, but I got a spicy tuna roll with 2 inches of cucumber sticking out. When I pointed this out, the waitress said I told her 'no cucumber' for all the rest of the food, but not that one(?) and wouldn't take it back. Later I asked for a hot tea and got it 10 minutes later - in a dirty glass! Before I could get out of the door, my stomach started cramping and I had to go to the bathroom twice... As we were pulling in our driveway (5 minutes later) my fiance started throwing up.

This is the best Japanese food restaurant I've found in Houston, sushi and comfort food included. The dessert menu is pretty americanized, but you can order off the menu without a big price tag. The ambience is great, even if parking is a hassle. The waiters are very friendly and will help you pick a good meal. Lunchtime is best -- especially their bento boxes.
