Sammy's Place   

Charismatic Sammy Relford gained a cult-like following for his soulful act at a local bar called The Gallant Knight, and now he draws a crowd as weekend headliner at this no-frills R&B club under the 2016 Main condominium. The crowd at Sammy's is wonderfully diverse, probably due to the universally appealing music. The dance floor fills up quickly, and the entire room seems to gyrate with dancers soon after the band warms up. There's also a small, dark room behind the stage for hanging out. Friendly bartenders at two well-stocked bars service thirsty patrons. If you think you can resist dancing, call early in the week to reserve a table.
