Behind the shocking green exterior wall, the Boom Boom Room is a mild-mannered neighborhood cafe, complete with coffee, gourmet snacks, and a fully stocked bar. Moravian star-shaped lights hover over the bar, casting a warm red glow over patrons who sit here to chat up the friendly staff. Some people come here especially for the food, which is served until 1:30AM: delicious breakfast pastries, hot-off-the-press panini sandwiches, and outrageously good pies from a local bakery. Stop in after work for the happy hour specials from 5PM-7PM on weeknights. Bring your laptop and enjoy the free WiFi, or relax with a cold beer or glass of wine on the outdoor patio. If weekend brunch is more your scene, don't miss the $1.50 mimosas.
