All breakfast tacos are not created equal, and Brothers Taco Stand is a contender for the best in town. Two secrets: The first is the char-grill spots making the larger-than-normal tortillas a treat in themselves. And the second is the mega size of the fillings, loaded onto the fresh hot tortillas that turn these breakfast treats into a hefty two-palm affair. Alas, you can't keep mega tacos like this secret and the word's out. Although the counter line moves quickly, it still stretches out into the parking lot most mornings. Brave the ten-minute queue and bring a sack of breakfast tacos for the whole office and you'll be a local hero. Lunchtime tacos are worthwhile, too, and don't forget to try the chicken fajita or the redolent chicken mole. It's conveniently located right near where I-45 South spurs in and out of downtown along Jefferson/St. Joseph's Parkway. A family affair, dad Jesus Alejandro named his colorful stand for his two teenage sons, Miguel and Jesus Jr., and cousin Abel presides as manager. Although this is strictly a steam table operation, you can enjoy your spicy bounty at the tables at the adjacent covered seating area.

Great if you love from food from a steam-table
By truetexmexlover on 07/08/2008
Brothers is only good if you like from food from a steam-table. If you want REAL Tex-Mex for breakfast, head on over to Villa Arcos on Navigation. The line might be a little long, but worth the wait for fresh food made just for you. Villa Arcos has been in business for more than 30 years. It's where I eat every chance I get!

Can't say it enough, 2BT ROCKS
By hotrodgurux on 06/05/2007
What else can you say about a place that is simple in design, cheap in price and FULL of flavor. Nothing fancy here, just rockin food at bargain basement prices. If you're a night owl, better make sure to make it there before 2pm on Saturday because that's when they close shop.

Been going there sinced it opened. The taco fillings are varied and very authentic. The homemade tortillas are huge and to die for.
