Once your eyes adjust to the darkness inside this unpretentious little bar, you'll think you've stepped into a time warp: You're likely to see a very diverse crowd mixing it up amid the shamelessly retro decor. Slip onto a shiny pleather barstool and ask for a pineapple martini, one of the house specialties; then, swing on over to one of the comfy, circa-1960s sofas and kick back. Chaise Lounge is the perfect place for a pre-show drink before heading over to Walter's on Washington, but it's equally fabulous for spending happy hour with the girls. Sample the champagne cocktails and French music with a live DJ on Thursdays.
