This highly-praised restaurant on the outskirts of downtown is enjoyed for the atmosphere, but frequented for the food. Denizens of Italian cuisine return again and again for Damian's traditional, yet innovative, dishes. For a treat, reserve the Chef's Table, a private room off the kitchen, where two to eight people can enjoy a six-course dinner, prepared especially by the chef. If you have tickets to Jones Hall, the Alley or the Wortham, this is the perfect place to go for a pre-theater dinner, as well. Reserve a seat on their shuttle bus, which will drop you off right in front of the theater and pick you up when the show's over. Come back and enjoy coffee and dessert and have the valet bring you your car. Bravo! -- Sarah Nichols

A Culinary Delight
I went to damian's with my extended family for christmas dinner. The atmosphere was exquisite, as was the food. I had the tortellini alla panna and it was amazing. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a delightful and formal italian dining experience.
Always Great
After bringing only the most important client we have to a business function upstairs at Damian's, I can continue to say the this restaurant knows how to treat its friends. We reserved the Roman Room for a party of 75 co-workers and clients, and everyone enjoyed the fabulous choices they presented. Filetto alla Griglia, Snapper Nino Jr., and the Costolette do Maile Albanese were wonderful, and the meal finished with the Infusione di Cioccolato. I don't think I've had a better meal anywhere..... Service was great for everyone involved, and the final bill was a number of hundreds less than I expected!!!! Go expense account!
Simply the Best
From the time the valet greeted us until we left the table 3 hours later we had a marvelous experience. The food was excellent. Shrimp Damian and the Caesar salad prepared table side were among the best I've ever had.
The wait staff was very attentive, yet unobtrusive. All six of us had a nice evening - never felt rushed, yet wel cared for.
Good Attempt
Well while I love to give great ratings to reastaurants, especially Damian's, Valentine's night on 02/14 was a little overrun. Damian's tried to accomodate everyone, by sitting the overflow upstairs in the banquet area dining rooms, but the service definitely suffered. Our poor waiter was hopping between 10 or more very busy tables, and just could not keep up. The food was absolutely wonderful, but the service was slow and unattentive. On any other night than a holiday, Damian's would rate 5 stars with me; the food is exceptional, and on non-holiday nights, so is the service.
