The Fish is the place to go for a night of sightseeing -- if the sights you want to see are beautiful people. Located on the far east side of the Montrose area in midtown Houston, The Fish, formerly Blowfish, is a hip venue patronized by hip up-and-comers. With a funky-chic dcor of warm purples and midnight black around gleaming chrome, with mood lighting, it has a bit of the fish bowl feel to it, with little fin room whether you're there for a power lunch, designer dinner, or close-the-business cocktails with other savvy sharks. It offers a bit of dazzle in the presentation of creative Asian fusion fare like rich miso, world-class rolls, spicy scallops, sashimi and other exceptionally flavorful finger foods served at the crowded sushi bar, which is one of the best in the city.
