Though the minimalist decor of Kam's makes this Montrose Chinese restaurant look suspiciously new, it has been a neighborhood favorite for years. The black tile floor, glossy dark wood tabletops and sparse greenery keep the mood serene. The menu is generally affordable, with entrees ranging from $10-$20. Casually dressed Montrose residents and workers keep Kam's in their restaurant rotation because of the dependable fare, such as hot and sour soup, egg rolls and stir-fry standards. -- Sandra Cook
