Lodged in an old house, this Montrose hideaway features all the creature comforts that make a quiet night out memorable. The menu may not follow today's trends, but the customers who come to this Italian tradition aren't interested in trends. They want solid, wholesome dishes like cannelloni Pavarotti, stuffed with spinach and veal; rigatoni Socerro, with Italian sausage and a creamy pesto sauce; and piccata di pollo, chicken sauted in lemon-butter and wine. Beyond the familiar comfort foods, Michelangelo's offers several creative concoctions, such as the ziti al pesto con pollo with basil pesto, pinenuts, sundried tomatoes and grilled chicken. Also, there's the linguine nuevo with crawfish, tomatoes, peppers, green onions, celery, olive oil and garlic. All of this paints a picture of the good life that Michelangelo himself would envy.
