Americas braves new territory with its adventurous "New World Cuisine" with a menu crafted from the foods and cooking techniques of North, Central and South America. Named Restaurant of the Year by Esquire magazine the year it opened in 1993, Americas evokes excitement from the very entry. Designed by Chicago architect Jordan Mozer, it takes its cues from the roots of its cuisine. Americas is Mozer's architectural interpretation of the images and cultures from these mystical lands.

good decor, noisy, poor food
Once you get past the interesting decor you are left with a noisy restaurant, the entrees were ok, not good, the vegetables were cold and the potatoes very undercooked. It wasn't worth the price.
Magnificent
I love this Restaurant! The food is fabulous! I live in the Texas Panhandle but have been known to fly to Houston to just visit this marvelous place. The decor is outstanding and everyone is more than willing to pamper you. Service is outstanding! If you haven't visited The Americas you MUST put this on your list of to do first list. I may have to book a flight now, I can feel my mouth watering and my body relaxing just thinking about it!

This restaraunt is an excellent choice when you want food that is exotic and an interesting upscale decor.
unusual taste!
I have never tasted Quail like that. I could not stop eating and ordering. Excellent foods. Atmosphere (King Style). not like any other restaurant.
