On sunny weekend mornings, Baba Yega's patio is packed with brunch-goers, languishing under large umbrellas and sipping the restaurant's fresh-squeezed juices. The restaurant draws those seeking hearty, healthy fare made from fresh ingredients, such as organic greens and whole-grain breads. The menu leans toward vegetarian dishes like the portabello mushroom sandwich, but chicken dishes are also available for non-vegetarians. Baba Yega -- named after the thunder witch in Slavonic mythology -- is nestled in an old home in the Montrose area. Choose from tables on the front or back patios, in the book-lined library or in the restaurant's cozier dining space. The crowd is artsy and eclectic; the antiques are tasteful without feeling stuffy. -- Christie Taylor
