Like a true man's den, the dark green interior of Champion's Sports Bar is full of wood accents, with sports photos and memorabilia lining the walls, including the composite top of an Indy racecar. There's no mistaking the sports theme, and no missing the game with 37 TVs (two of which are big-screen). It's elbow-to-elbow during Colts games. Also busy after an Indians game and during big conventions, Champions draws a mixed crowd to its dining room and two bar areas. Pool, basketball, darts and plenty of video games keep the conversation flowing. The menu features much more than pub food; ribeyes, chops and salmon highlight the dinner list, with a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads for lighter bites. A few unusual dishes are eye-catching, including Scottish eggs, which are hard-boiled with sausage. Drink specials feature homegrown concoctions like Blue Wahoo, which uses Grey Goose vodka. -- Lori Lovely

The downtown location is okay, but i am partial to the north side champs. There are too many out-of-towners, and it just doesn't have the same feel downtown.

I was just there Sunday night with my loved one celebrating my b-day. The food was bland and cold. Our server was very eager to correct problem and even took item off bill. We went to eat around 9:00 on a sunday which is kind of late for a Sunday but we figured with it being a holiday weekend and a tourist weekend we would be fine. Our food tasted like we were being served leftovers from night before. I had chicken pot pie which consisted of 10 layers of pie crust and about 4 chunks of dried out chicken and veggies. My boyfriend had the cajun pasta and chicken. His chicken tasted just like mine. Our server was very nice and polite. We felt a little rushed in the beginning though. She was to quick to make suggestions. Probably won't be returning, not only because of the food but because of location and accessibility. I can go closer to home and get same service. And not have to pay to park.....
