A lot of places will serve Guinness on tap, hook up some green lights and call themselves an Irish pub, but this place is as authentic as they come. The bar is an enlarged version of an Irish village pub (though this one could supply a couple of villages), with lots of light wood and internal windows for privacy. There's plenty of whiskey and beer from the homeland -- although the house brew is one of the best on offer. The bar menu has such Irish favorites as shepherd's pie, smoked salmon, Irish beef and Guinness stew, as well as plenty o' potatoes. They also offer Irish spins on Americanized items -- e.g. "Shamrock Chicken Sandwich" and "Celtic Caesar Salad." There's live Irish music on select days of the week. -- MS

Unbearable
The noise is unbearable. Everything else is wonderful. The food/drinks/hospitality are all great.
I'm waiting for the new store to open at the Metropolis shopping center at Plainfield. Hopefully it won't be so noisy.
Review of 96th St. location
True Irish pub feel in the middle of the north side strips. The materials used in the construction were imported from Ireland to add to the authentic feel. Good beer selection keeps the bar section packed at all times. The most popular dish is the Claddagh Catch, an authentic fish & chips platter. Order the smaller size as you get very little extra for the full order. There are plenty of great, authentic choices for people who don't like fish. Try the Connemara chicken, shephard's pie or Guinness stew (a real treat on a winter's day). They have a special outdoor pavilion on St. Patrick's Day, which makes it a good choice if you absolutely must eat Irish on that day.

I was there tonight and found the atmosphere very enjoyable. Not too crowded and smokey. Just had a beer but it tasted great. My new favorite!!

Great fish dinner, enough to share. service is best there is but if you are going on st.pats, plan on standing, due to the lack of seating. Beautiful building,and atmosphere. Thank you for bringing some Irish to Indy.
