Houlihan's   

We went to Houlihan's for my going away lunch at my last client. Man, I wish we'd picked another joint. The place STANK when we walked in the door. The hostess didn't say anything although my entire party commented on it. The other seated table said the official word was it was "cheese". It smelled like sewage. We decided to go the distance though. When you have a party of 12 for lunch, you want to have reservations or it takes FOREVER. The other seated table decided to leave since our party had our drink order taken first. I wonder if it's because we had a reservation? I don't know. I sortof got the impression that our waitress wasn't really all in. We had a whole slew of appetizers which were pretty decent. I ordered the farmhouse club lunch entree which came with a salad. The salad was tasty - but you can't go wrong with bleu cheese. I was really disappointed in the sandwich. It sounded great - but it was bland. I feel bad rating them so low, maybe they were just having an off day, but with SO many options in that area, I won't be back to give them another try.

Food was great, but no too pricey. There was a wide variety of choices on the menu. They had these really cute deserts that were only 1.99 each....I personally ordered 2.....but they all looked fabulous. Drinks were great, and not too expensive either. Nice atmosphere. I have friends coming into Indy in the next few weeks, and i plan to take them over to Houlihan's and show them a good time. :-)

My wife and I had excellent food along with great service. What more can you ask for?
