A step up from most national all-night chain diners, the Red Eye Cafe in downtown Indianapolis, promoted previously by 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and frequented by celebrities such as Jared Leto and Damien Rice, features favorite American meals at inexpensive prices. It even offers free wireless Internet access. Instead of opting for late-night fast food after partying, grab home-style grub at this restaurant and full-service coffee shop. Daily lunch specials cost a low $4.99 Mondays through Fridays, starting at 11AM, and include everything from chicken and dumplings to lasagna. Breakfast foods are served at all hours, and the Red Eye Burger will fill your tummy with a half pound of mouth-watering Angus beef. Also, tenderloin sandwiches and chicken quesadillas compliment the diner's beer selection. And the best part? Red Eye delivers locally, so you can stay home, party and eat great food, too.

Don't tick off security. They threw a young women on the floor and handcuffed her for wanting to sit in different booth than the hostess sat her in.

Stopped in after a Pacers game and I was glad I did! Not only was the Angus Burger delicious, but they had a good selection of beers too! Our server was nice, a cool atmosphere, and I will go back for sure!

VERY rude waitstaff
By farionl on 10/15/2005
The waitstaff here is Very rude and inconsiderate. I understand that alot of drunk losers may walk out but that is no reason to treat the rest of us like crap. They are not professional especially when faced with a group of 5 or more. They have no control. The waitstaff is too concerned about what kind of tip you might leave to treat you like your a paying customer which is all that really matters. The food is great and I would love to eat it more but I wont go there PERIOD.
