Rate and Write a Review One of the cooler bars in Indy, the Alley Cat draws a happy-drunk crowd of bikers, hippies and preppy kids who just got their first tattoos. It's a dive in the classic sense, smoky and sticky, where you might end up after a serious Broad Ripple bender. Shoot pool, play darts, enjoy some of the really great drink specials or just compare body art with neighbors. And if you haven't gotten enough, the Alley Cat opens bright and early, at 7am.

Best place ever
I have just recently starting going to the Alley Cat on a regular basis and it just gets better and better. The people are friendly and always ready to strike up a good conversation. The guys are also really hot and most of them know how to treat a lady. Prices are good and drinks are strong.
rude and overated
I have lived in Indianapolis for 5 years now. I have visited the Alley Cat on many occasions. I think the establishment has great potential, however the owners have destroyed that. They are very rude and do not apperciate their customers. They have no respect for themselves or the people who patronize their establishment. I have vowed (along with many others) to no longer support this bar. I refuse to continue to support people that do not apperciate the reason they are what they are. Only when this bar changes owership will they raise their ratings.
P.S. The restrooms are totally disgusting! Do they not know how to clean either? Come on, you own a business - show some pride.
Bars
The best place in Broard Ripple if you want to stay up into the wee hours of the night. Part of the established Broad Ripple 'scene' without as much of the attitude. Kind of a 'hole in the wall', but it has its appeal. Lots of musicians go here after their gigs and the people are interesting and generally pretty friendly if you make the effort. Check it out for more of the 'character' than anything else.
