First, it was music and fashion; now even nightclubs are going retro. Giant yellow smiley faces and lava lamp-like signage can be seen at every turn at Have A Nice Day Cafe, reinforcing the club's name in simple, colorful visuals. The club's music mix is predominately '70s and '80s, but don't try walking in wearing a tee shirt and parachute pants or scraggly cut-off jeans. The cafe's dress code bans said clothing articles. Located near Circle Center Mall, Have a Nice Day attracts droves of the fun-seeking twentysomethings and is one of the city's busier night spots. Go inside ready to meet people and dance the night away to 'Disco Inferno,' 'Material Girl' and 'Grease' hits. -- Mark Erickson

I agree, there should be a better place to dance in Indy. If this rates as a "dance club" it fails. By the way, there should be a way to give this a negative rating!
Accident
I went to that club with a friend from school. We hadn't went out for about 10 years. We are in our late forty's just out having fun. We stopped there, and had 2 drinks. I went on the dance floor, and a fight had started between 2 girls. I looked down and some how got tangled up and fell off the dance floor. This dance area had no railing!! I came to, and a lady was helping me, She said I had taken a bad fall. The manager came over to see if I was ok. (Adam) VERY NICE!! My glasses was lost and he found them. I had a bad knot on the back of my head, and he got me ice. No information was taken about me, or the police wasn't called. The next day I went to the hospital, and had a cat scan done. This happened on 10/07/07. I have tried over and over to have someone contact me. I have sent them bill's and no response. I try calling the manager Josh almost every other day. NO RESPONSE!! He's left a few, maybe 6 messages on my answering machine. I just want my medical bill's paid. AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY PEOPLE SUE??? Can anybody help me ?? Thanks!! I wouldn't ever suggest anyone to go there!!
What a dump!
How embarrassing that people visiting our great city don't have better choices for clubs downtown. I have a great idea....someone should buy this place and rip everything out and start over. Or maybe, if the people that manage Have A Nice Day would clean the place that might be a big improvement. The disco ball that hangs from the ceiling has so much dust on it doesn't even shine when the lights hit it. The little VIP area downstairs has LED lights that hang from above...they have so much smoke and dust on them they donÂt even work. Freaking nasty! When the fan turns on and that crap falls in your drink. Yum!
I wouldn't pay a $1.00 to get this dump. Last but not least if you like paying $5 dollars for a drink in a Dixie Cup, go for it. The fact that this "Club" is #2 best club on AOL is unbelievable. Club 7 is by far one of the nicest clubs we have in this city. But no one supports it or goes there. Okay?! Have A Bad Night Cafe.....Wack!!!
