Rate and Write a Review The Red Key is a historic fixture in the Meridian- Kessler neighborhood. Russ the bartender is strict about enforcing the famous bar's etiquette policies. Manners are a must, so hang your coat up and wait for the waitress to take your order if you aren't sitting at the bar. You should be on your best behavior anyway because you never know when your dad or grandpa might pop in. Six oil-painted panels of the English countryside line the side walls and two panels of Indiana wilderness by 1930s neighborhood artist Bryan Tarlton hang in back. Frank Sinatra and swing era standards on the jukebox set a cozy tone for a relaxing, happy time with friends and neighbors. If you get there before 10PM, you can grab a burger and fries. The film 'Going All the Way,' starring Ben Affleck, contains a scene shot here. You'll know you're there when you see the aged neon martini glass at 52nd and College Avenue.
