The City Cafe on the southeast corner of Pennsylvania and Michigan Streets prides itself on using the freshest of ingredients. The Cafe, which is only open for breakfast and lunch, buys its food directly from the producer as often as possible. Ingredients are all natural, and eggs are farm fresh, free range and organic. At City Cafe, everything is made from scratch -- even the sausage. Enjoy your choice of breakfast items including Eggs Benedict and the French Toast made from a cinnamon batter, rolled in flakes and served with honey maple syrup. For lunch, try the BLT wrap in a flour tortilla or one of the many salads. The Cafe also offers sodas and coffees brewed locally at Hubbard & Cravens. Inside, you'll find work created by local artists decorating the walls. Kids are always welcome to visit City Cafe. There is no kids' menu; however, cooks will make the tots dishes to order. -- Lyn Mettler

A Slice Of Heaven.....
By carleene5 on 02/13/2008
....right in the heart of Indianapolis. Vintage seating and art sets the tone for wonderful escape from the downtown hustle and bustle. Personable, friendly and engaging service. I enjoyed the Chicken BLT with Avacado. Very fresh and bursting with flavor. For dessert, Butterscotch Pudding with a dollop of whip cream. You think how exciting can this be? Absolutely delicious...it just melts in your mouth. Certainly puts this Indy eatery in the "Slice of Heaven" category.

More than just a comedy club!
By debbiejeanh on 06/28/2005
Hyena's has top of the line comedian from 8-midnight. But starting at 11:15 every Friday and Saturday night, in the lounge, the Red Light Burlesque show takes place. The Red Light is driven by a tight jazz and cover combo lead by Joshua Herod that combines hot bump and grind music with the stars of the show, The Red Light Dancers ( 5 talented, trained, and sexy girls). Red Light also features a sultry torch singer and a veteran comedian who helps to loosen up the crowd with her bawdy humor. It's just like Vegas! But without the 3 hour flight! Come see the show, you will insanely entertained! It's awesome!

I've been to the cafe on numerous occassions and the food and service are always excellent. The menu is innovative, and I frequently take guests. I was checking hours today to do just that. Disappointed, no open on Saturday.
