Making the most of its second chance, this Greenwood cafe has been filling its tables after a ten-year absence from the dining scene. The lunch-only eatery specializes in old-fashioned American cuisine served in a spacious, inviting dining room. Your choice of a small side salad or a cup of soup comes with you entree and will arrive at your table minutes after placing your order. Save room for the main course, as the dinner-sized portions are large enough to share. Hefty slices of meatloaf served with thick whipped potatoes and the chicken potpie loaded with meat and fresh vegetables are just two examples of the filling fare. The award-winning sauteed New England chicken, served with peas and scallions and drenched in cider cream sauce, is Pipers' signature dish. Don't pass on dessert -- pies are plentiful and feature the popular banana-filled praline pie.
