Oysters, oysters, galore! For those who enjoy the ancient aphrodisiac, Shuckers is a good place to start. Choose from an array of oysters , including half shell, Rockefeller, baked Pontchartrain, Bienville or any two selections combined. The menu also features a variety of Southern fare, from po'boy sandwiches to soups, salads and grilled specialties. However, the restaurant's biggest draw is the nightly entertainment, which features dueling pianos every Friday and Saturday night, plus nightly drink specials. Sports fans will also enjoy watching the game on the bar's big-screen TV.

Shame there are no day care centers that cater to your age group.... and by the way, You should learn to party like your mother does.... She's great. And your sister too, and another thing, the 20 buck I lent you, that was 6 months ago. You gonna pay up?

DUI HOTSPOT
By jcpr5052 on 05/21/2007
Shuckers is ok, but get ready for a DUI. Madison County is the DUI capital of the south - often set up roadblocks nearby, sometimes at the front door (Rice Road). DUI's are big business in Madison County, a form of tax on the residents/visitors. Bring your toothbrush.....

Old *uckers party too
By catlynken on 04/11/2007
My wife and I are over 40 and love hanging at shucker's. Every time we go, the age of the crowd is pretty diverse. That's one of the reasons we go. The food's good, not great. The entertainment is as good as it gets in Jackson. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer guy than owner Terry Hester. We have fun every time we go and usually put our (broke) twenty something friends to bed at night.
