Los Portales Mexican Rstrnt   

The bathrooms are disgusting and the food tastes like something you would eat at a school cafeteria on Mexican day. haha People eat here because it's the first Mexican restaurant in Jackson and the people who eat here are afraid of trying new things. You can't say that Los Portales is the best Mexican if you haven't tried any other Mexican restaurants. Go further down the street to the left past Krystal's and behind Kroger and go to Casa Marina for better tasting fresher food for around the same price. Their desserts are MUCH better too. Plus at Casa Marina they have a lot of stuff on their menu that can't be found anywhere else!

I love the food at Los Portales. The price and the quick service make it even better.

This location is the BEST! We eat there at least once a week. When the staff gets to know you, you don't have to tell them what you want anymore, they automatically know what you want and where you like to sit. We like Panchos in Memphis on Summer Ave too!
