Metro   

First of all, Metro does not appear to be a gay club. I was there last Saturday night for the first time and the place was full of strung out straight people. The Bartenders look like ghetto thugs and the two I encountered were so high they could barely serve me. The furnishings are very old and the whole building reaks of bad odors. The music in the so called "boom boom room" should be boom boomed right out the door because it's the worst dance music I've ever heard. Don't waste your time with this place. John

Being from out-of-town, I was disgusted with this place. The building is dilapidated and appears to never be cleaned. One is almost suffocated by the plethorea of odors emanating from the building, which looks as if it will crumble at any point in time. This club epitomizes the notion of "backwoods", and one is sure to run into look alikes from the cast of the movie "Deliverance". The two hour drive to Orlando is well worth it when this is one of the best Jacksonville has to offer.

I love the metro I have alot of fun there, especially on Lesbo-A-Go-Go night
