Price Per Person: $30+* Kid-Friendly Perks: None Blue Plate Special:Ruths Chris takes the finest aged, corn-fed USDA Prime beef, cooks it in custom-made broilers at temperatures exceeding 1700 degrees to release the steaks natural flavor, and then serves it up on a 500-degree plate to ensure that the steak stays sizzling all the way into your belly. The Dish: Ruths Chris Steakhouse has been serving up some of the tastiest steaks around (at moderate prices) since the first one opened in New Orleans in 1965. This family-oriented restaurant offers fresh seafood, chicken, veal, lamb, salads and vegetables, in addition to its savory filet, NY strip, porterhouse, rib-eye and T-bone steaks. Those not interested in beef should give the mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat, the fresh lobster or the stuffed chicken breast a go-around. An extensive wine list is also offered. Top off your meal with a slice of chocolate sin cake that is, if you have room for dessert. Lunch is available at some locations. The Atmosphere: Each location is decorated according to local tastes. What they all have in common is a relaxed, informal atmosphere where diners feel free to linger. -- Tom DiChiara *Price Per Person includes entree, drink & dessert

Very disappointed!!!!
By ahhgee on 08/08/2007
Not at all what I expected and although we enjoyed a beautiful view, it was marred by the stench of burnt butter. The experience was much like going to a greasy fish place - I had to shower to remove the cloying odor. The food was not well prepared - it was fatty and tasteless. The service was rushed and my inability to choose seemed to annoy the waiter. We paid a heck of a lot of money for a very substandard experience. I have heard it has gone butter crazy and is "not as good as it used to be" - I don't know about that - I do know we will not be returning!

Best Steak, worst sides
By rkda17 on 06/29/2007
Ruth's Chris is my favorite resturant for getting steak. I was never a steak eater until i had it at Ruth's Chris. I am always disappointed in the sides because the poatoes taste warmed over and the asparagus is always thick and tough. Bread is great, salad is good, wine selection is good and service has always been great.

I was absolutely embarrassed
By gootrod on 04/26/2007
It was a special occlusion, and I selected what I thought to be "a special restaurant", big mistake. My wife and I were entertaining my Boss, his wife and another couple for this special occlusion and naturally I wanted everything to go smoothly. I'm not going to go into a lot of boring detail or drama about the evening after all the food was superb. The service that was provided on the other hand was without a doubt the worst I have ever experienced, my wife and I were embarrassed beyond words. William, our waiter, was not on his top game this night, he would disappear for ten to fifteen minutes at a time leaving us looking around the room on several occlusion for assistance. The final embarrassment for me was that my Bosses wife had made the comment during dinner that she was going to treat herself to dessert that night becasue she had been dieting and lost a large amount of weight. By the time we could flag William down, to put in a order she was no longer interested. William needs proper training, please.
