The Jacksonville location of the Chart House could possibly boast the citys most unique restaurant architecture. The restaurant is housed in a mod circular building, with windows throughout offering vantage points of the water. In fact, the water theme is even present from the front door, with the waterfall that cascades down the side of the building. Once inside, the recently renovated bar area features funky high back chairs and a cozy conversation pit thats ideal for happy hour or waiting for a table. Appetizers include seared peppered ahi tuna, lobster spring rolls and oysters casino. Other meal preludes include a rich tureen of lobster bisque. Chart House is also known for its salad bar and signature Ceaser salad. Entrees include many seafood and beef dishes including sesame crusted salmon, grilled swordfish, teriyaki beef medallions, slow-roasted prime rib and filet mignon au poivre. For dessert, put in your order for chocolate lava cake when your order your entree. It takes at least 30 minutes to prepare, but its worth the wait for the hot souffle of rich gooey chocolate cake and chocolate sauce. Reservations are recommended. --Liz Morgan
