Ruth's Chris Steak House   

I guess the negative reviewers all went on the same night. My wife and I have eaten at the downtown Ruth's Chris dozens of times over the last seven or eight years, and the worst experience we've had was one night the service was very good but not excellent. What's wonderful about Ruth's Chris is that they do what they do; they serve a world class steak seasoned with salt & pepper floating in a pool of butter every single time. There is no mango mayonaise or rice wine reduction. It's about the food not the chef, which is a rarity today at 4 and 5 star restaraunts.

Over priced. THe Tree is at least the same quality for a lot less money. Atmosphere was good.

Nice atmosphere but horrible food. Don't waste your money.

The one and only time my wife and I went to this restaurant we were sorely disgusted. Our friends had raved about the place and we were eagerly anticipating a great meal and service. The steak was overcooked, tough, and had no flavor. The rest of the food was bland. The service was the worst I had ever experienced in my life.Our waiter disappeared and after I precisely timed 30 minutes that my glass was empty, I finally had to wave my arms and call out "can I please get some service." When I complained to management I was told they had just hired some new help. I also mentioned the mediocre food, expecting some kind of adjustment, but all I got was a lame apology. I realize that any place can have an off night, but at these prices excellent should be the norm, with a minimum of good on a bad night.
