The name is fitting. After being frisked for weapons, patrons will find themselves in an enormous, poorly illuminated club that might well be a microcosm of this country. The clientele is as democratically diverse as the bar's name suggests. College kids do shots at the bar. Swaggering toughs from the suburbs shoot pool and curse rapturously. A sweaty army of old and young grind away on the sunken dance floor, beneath the strobes and the smoke and the blasting music. Young waitresses in tight clothes deliver domestic beers to tables of young nonwaitresses in tight clothes. A few wannabe gangstas sit sternly in a corner. A wall made of TV sets flickers with a disquieting light. Fiftysomething businessmen try to chat up off-work strippers with talk of mutual funds. Welcome to America, in pub form. If the noise gets too intense, the game room is a welcome refuge. Between pool, foosball, video games, gumball machines and an aspirin dispenser, your wrist is sure to get a mighty workout. A pair of long bars and ever-changing drink specials ensure that your liver does, too.

Came from iowa for the weekend..Had a blast on friday, tried the gay scene on Saturday and ended up back at Americas Pub..Had a blast both nights would def go back if i visit there again

This place has always been a good time, but the wear and tear from many years was showing. The upgrades to the inside are most welcome. Let the party continue.

This has got to be the most pathetic excuse for a dance club! I've been to America's Pub at least once a year for the past 6 years and everytime I'm more dissapointed that I paid a cover to get in here than the last. Usually a group of friends drags me along to this run-down s#$(-box of a club once I've already had a few and I am too tipsy to put up a big enough fight. There are far better bars in KC if you are just looking for a drink, buzzard beach, the lava room, etc...depending on your tastes. I miss the old XO, and I'm sure most would agree that they had the best DJs and electronica to dance to in KC. It's only saving grace is that Johnny Dare's makes it look good. The only thing I can say about this place is that if you want a croud of sleezy guys, brides-to-be, thugs, and a$$holes to hit on you, go here.
