The staff makes sure you are comfortable without battering you about ordering the next round. No, you don't have to be decked in Chiefs red or Royals blue to be welcomed. This is neighborhood bar, but Dirk's proximity to the airport provides plenty of exposure to visitors. The blend of out-of-towners and homers makes for an interesting atmosphere.
