Recent crackdowns on underage drinking have left the Jayhawk Cafe (formerly the O Street, formerly the 18th Amendment) a little less popular than before, but Thursday through Saturday nights are still standing room only. The old, wooden building has two main rooms, plus a back porch and patio area, complete with a small pond and auxiliary bar. Definitely a college kid's place: anyone over 23 looks like a grandfather in this tavern. -- Brendan Walsh
