Tomfooleries   

Tomfoolery is foolish, trivial, senseless, thoughtless -- all the things exacerbated by a great bar and grill. And so Tomfooleries, the Zona Rosa child of the Plaza location by the same name, is an interesting mix of the senseless and the sublime. The sublime emerges in exemplary bar food like buttermilk chicken tenders, seasoned waffle fries and Fat Tire fish and chips. The standard pub grub is generously portioned and attentively presented. However, the tomfoolery of Tomfooleries emerges in dishes like the Red Bull Salad: spinach with egg, bacon, blue cheese, granola, popcorn and a Red Bull vinaigrette. If it's half as disgusting as it sounds, there won't be enough vodka at the bar to wash this flavor sensation out of your mouth. Regardless, Tomfooleries is a great place to forget your worries, whether they be work related, love related or dinner related. The late night happy hour features cheap draws and a selection of the great apps for less than $5. Like its Plaza counterpart, the Zona Rosa location features frequent live music and a young nighttime crowd. Unlike the original, the new Tomfooleries features a second story loft, walls of windows and enough lighting to keep you out of too much trouble.
