Sports fans generally subscribe to the ''more is more'' philosophy of life -- the more games, the more food, the more beer, the more fun. Town Center Plaza's 810 Zone is designed in this vein. Owned and operated by Kansas City's top-rated sports talk station (as well as more than a dozen local sports celebrities and a local brewery conglomeration), the 810 Zone is a model of the 21st-century sports bar and grill. In addition to a wall of microbrews and a full menu, the 810 zone provides each table with Internet access and a TV with seemingly infinite viewing options. In a deft move of self-promotion, WHB 810 installed a live broadcast booth, from which it broadcasts talk shows and pre- and post-game shows for the Chiefs and Royals. The walls are covered with jerseys, autographed pictures and assorted local and national memorabilia. With quirky sport-inspired names like the ''George Brat'' and the ''Thrill of Vanilla Cheesecake,'' the menu combines traditional fried favorites with more contemporary lighter fare, like the ''Not in Our House Salad.'' The 810 Zone may seem a bit over the top. But, for big fans, this monument of sport is just the ticket.
