The name of J.Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks pretty much sums it up. The restaurant hand selects aged black Angus steaks and cooks them on an open fire to bring out the hearty flavor. Of course, there are other things you could choose to eat here like lobster, wood-fired roasted chicken, grilled barbecue salmon or five spice chicken penne with smoked gouda. While the food is the focal point, the decor also plays a role in the overall dining experience. Exposed wood and stone, soft lighting and warm tones lend to a relaxed feel perfect for a romance or simply for unwinding at the end of a busy day. -- Scott Cotter
