Quick Tips: 1. Parking -- You get 30 minutes free parking in the Terminal A and B garages, and one hour of free parking in the Terminal C temporary lot; all lots offer short-term parking ($18 per day) and long-term parking ($15 per day). 2. Transportation -- Average taxi fare, downtown/one way/one person is $26; The Metro Bus (816-221-0660) is the cheapest way downtown: a mere 90 cents gets you there 3. Inter-terminal Transfer -- Because the main terminals are set up in a continuous crescent, once you get headed in the right direction you should do just fine; be mindful of the shuttle bus signs -- the green bus is for the Tower lot, and the blue bus is for the Satellite lot. 4. Food: Cuisine revolves around Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KC Masterpiece(BBQ) -- all tried and true. 5. Special Note -- With the expansion program underway, ingress and egress to the airport can be unpredictably bogged down -- call the main information line at 816-243-5215 for construction information to allow for proper planning.

absolutely the easiest national airport to access but with limited services and a decidedly non communicative, and possible hostile atmosphere towards people who appear to be from "liberal" states or countries. numerous shinanigans by airport police and security noted but TSA workers tend to be professional and helpfull and unstressed. an in group of workers function as a local homeland security mafia in regards to the traveling public, myself included. recent changes to staff have made this airport more friendly to the interests of non-chiefs fans and fanatics. its not a good idea to look like a gypsy or a european journalist while boarding your flight in this airport. this airport is somewhat dominated by southwest airlines which is the budget carrier of the nation.
