It isn't just your taste buds that are in for a treat at Salty Iguana. Your eyes will get a feast, too. That's because the colorfully adorned walls of the Prairie Village location -- painted from floor to ceiling with different iguana motifs -- are enough to keep you entertained for hours. The suburban restaurant is a neighborhood favorite, drawing large, boisterous crowds for the plentiful food and tasty, top-shelf margaritas made from your choice of premium tequilas. The blue corn tacos are always a draw and the Prairie Village Burrito can satisfy the biggest of appetites. For a pre-meal taste treat try the Iguana dip. It's made from spicy cheese and spinach that goes perfect with the plentiful chips. There are two locations: one on Mission Road in Prairie Village and the other in Independence on 40 highway. -- Scott Cotter

Rude Manager
By myelmo2007 on 08/29/2007
My fiance recently ate at Salty Iguana and when he almost finished drinking his water he noticed lipstick on the rim. He brought this to the managers attention who offered to bring him another glass of water and then proceeded to tell him "it's not that bad." The manager then took one entree off the ticket and walked off clearly upset.

What about Lawrence?
By jhawkknight on 02/02/2007
Someone forgot to mention the location they have in Lawrence. Bill Self does his weekly radio show from there. But, even though the KU Athletic Dept, the media, and Salty have a big deal; I don't see the big deal. I took my family there once, two years ago. I haven't been back. I would rate their food at or below that of Taco Bell.
