Lidia's features authentic, Northern-Italian dishes. Every item at the restaurant is house-made, entirely from scratch, with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh. Every day Lidia's offer a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas, as well as risotto and polenta dishes. Plates are refilled as often as you like by servers carrying pans of freshly cooked pasta through the dining room.

Try the Sunday brunch
By jenwilding on 06/12/2007
There is no better Sunday brunch in Kansas City. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared, there is lots of variety, and you can order entrees off the menu. It's a wonderful splurge to enjoy breakfast in such lovely surroundings.

Good to give it a try.

The food is just average. The price is too much for the quantity and quality we get. The bad part is the service is very very BAD. ! I recommend "Jaspers".

Over Rated

Too over rated, food was just ok and the atmosphere was, well, there just wasn't any. Too high a price for what you get. There are several other Italian resturants in the KC area that are better and you get more for your $$$$'s.

Always good

My husband and I have been to Lidias several times over the last 10 years. We have never been disappointed or considered our meal priced too high. Our first meal was for our anniversary and I remember my husband had a pork dish with mashed sweet potatoes he raved about but unfortunately left the menu. More than once I have ordered the pasta trio and the chicken dish with sauteed spinach. Maybe something didn't end up being a favorite or something I'd want again....turns out the seafood soup doesn't fill a man up and I'm not crazy about wild mushrooms...but hey, we had a great experience. We tried something new, enjoyed the atmosphere, people watched, chatted up the table next to us a couple of times, and generally had a great time being together. So I say just relax have a good time and enjoy the experience no matter what happens.
