Lidia's features authentic, Northern-Italian dishes. Every item at the restaurant is house-made, entirely from scratch, with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh. Every day Lidia's offer a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas, as well as risotto and polenta dishes. Plates are refilled as often as you like by servers carrying pans of freshly cooked pasta through the dining room.

We were apprehensive after reading the other two reviews but the service (for six of us) was excellent. The entrees were all very good to excellent. Tiramasu good but not world-class.

Three pasta choice
By sweetnsassy59409 on 04/23/2004
Only one of the offered pastas was very good-the ravioli. The salad was great, though. Service was ok. But, a bit over-familiar. A good waiter should be quiet and efficient with impeccable manners. The tiramisu was awesome. The Shiraz we had was good, too. Would not go back for the price of the mediocre three pasta offerings, however.

Lidias....
By drday1 on 07/15/2004
The service is not always the greatest and the same for the food but on some visits it is all Sublime and keeps me coming back. I wish Lidia would stay there and demand considtency untill they get it. My last visit i fell in love all over again with the food. It is the best of all I have tried even with poor service and the few times the shrimp were non existent in my pasta.. Dave Reep

Lidia needs to know
By dib1995 on 05/09/2005
We had a party of 10 for my Uncle's 77th Birthday. We were there on April 30th for the Market Brunch. When we recieved the food it went to the wrong person and I wondered if the language differents caused that. Some if the servers could not understand when we ask for something. In know we have a head waiter but the ones bringing out food did not understand us. Everyone was disappointed with the pasta trio, all were served cold. One person had a filet that was not satisfactory. These are not just after thoughts, are the time no one thought complaining would change things. On the other hand we liked the atmosphere and the brunch process. Our server was good. The salad table was a real good part of the experience. We do want to come back another time when Lidia is in town. My Uncle has been watching her cooking show and if she was here cooking he would love it.
