Feliz Navidad! You may want to scream that at the top of your lungs after a few beers if you look around this downtown Mexican cantina. The bar is decorated with a Mexican twist akin to a Kansas City home that leaves its Christmas lights up year round. Want to forget about it? Order something with tequila in it. Margaritas are stupendous here, and they seem to leave the bar on a conveyor belt to tables steadily through the night. Not a fan of the hard stuff? Dos Equis and Corona bottles are available at a low cost, and the limes are aplenty. Come early, and you just may be bilingual by the time you leave, e.g., you had one Cuervo shot too many. Love this place but hate (for me, not the restaurant) that everyone knows about it! Ha!
Serioulsy, great food, great atmosphere, great place to go with friends and family.
I am a KC original and discovered this place in the 80's. I have lived in San Antonio and now in Dallas area and Los Corrals still the kicks the pants off many places I find here in Texas! The tamales just can't be beat.
The Real Deal - Mmmm...Good!
- Excellent, authentic Mexican food.
- Chips and salsa included with meal.
- Tacos and tamales are some of the best I have ever eaten.
- Fast, friendly service.
- That wonderful, "home cooked" flavor and aroma.
I discovered this restaurant (quite literally by following my nose from a nearby office building) soon after moving to the KC area. I will go out of my way to have a meal there and do recommend Los Corrals to anyone who enjoys a real ethnic meal.
