I'd rather go to McDonalds

I took my wife to Plaza III for her birthday. The service was terrible and the steaks were awful. Way overrated and we will not be going back

Great place for steaks
By hans398 on 06/04/2005
I took the whole family to the Plaza III. The service was great. We had a table for 10, the waiter explained all menu options to our satisfaction, and we ordered sides that we were able to pass around the table so all could sample. The steaks were great! Everyone went home very pleased with the meal and the service.

Excellent all round

We took my husband's mother there for dinner on Saturday night. It was superb; best strip my husband has ever had (and he's picky). My mother in law likes her filet well done, and the waiter didn't even bat an eyelid. He just gently suggested it be butterflied so it didn't end up "like a hockey puck". The other two steaks were cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were great. Dessert was also a treat, with a lovely creme brulee. Great wine list and truly exceptional service. It was prom night, and the service didn't suffer a bit from the restaurant being packed. We will definitely be back.

Riding on laurels

The 8 of us went there recently. We all got various kinds of steaks, appetizers, etc. While service was good and food cooked to order, the flavor and texture of the beef was poor. Tough and grisly. Prices as high as anywhere. Very disappointed.
