For nearly 70 years, Rosedale Barbeque has been serving a steady stream of customers with its own brand of slow-cooked Kansas City barbecue. Those in the know consider Rosedale's to be one of Kansas City's top smokehouses, and every day crowds made up of suits and blue-collar workers flock through the doors for the lunch special -- a sandwich, fries and a soda for less than $5. The slow-cooked ribs, smothered in Rosedale's famous, tangy sauce, also draw attention from barbecue lovers. For the uninitiated, there are always a few items on the menu that don't get slow-cooked the Rosedale way. Everyone seems to enjoy the casual experience of Rosedale's, too.
