In a restored turn-of-the-century railway station that is rumored to be the site where the movie Anatomy of a Murder was filmed, Clara's serves up some delightful dishes that are sure to satiate the hungriest of customers. For something a little different, try starting out with the Crab Rangoons (crab, onions and cream cheese in fried wonton noodles) or, if you don't want to veer from the tried and true, the spinach dip is always a crowd pleaser. Feeling famished? The half-pound filet mignon, Clara's most popular steak, comes complete with a salad, bread and your choice of a variety of side dishes. Before you leave, take a minute to admire the European elegance that is present in many of the furnishings and decorations. The bronze chandelier is an exquisite antique that is said to have hung in a Parisian mansion around the early 1800s.

Good Service, Cold Food
By milady7852 on 03/09/2007
There is a wide selection of food and the service is good. However, the last two times we were there the food was COLD. This was quite disappointing as you can imagine. The first stime it happened I we chalked it up to just one of those things. The second time it happened we decided not to go back.

Exellent service every time I've been. the weiters/ weitresses atted without intrusion are attentive w/out hovering so as not to offend when you rais a hesssitant finger besause you arent used to fine dining as such. group friendly, family friendly, buisnesspeople friendly... the place is huge .. a setting for everyone even a rennovated dining car heated and air conditiond, quit brite w/natural light. THE LARGEST MENU IN THE AREA Easy to find what you wan though, they have it devided up by dinners, small lunch meals entrees etc. even kids meals in a sixteen page menu. when I went their the first time it took me a while and found a nice meal but it was too small (salad and half sized meal only it took the waitress about 14 seconds to flip a menu to a page containing the seame main corse but it was twice the size, had a SALAD, not a plate of greens, option of vegetable, fruit, And i dont remember what all but what I am getting at is don't go if you're on a date w/ an appt to keep in less than an hour. They do however have fast service, hot food, and respectful help. One last thing... try the orange roughy, it is absolutely delectable w/the salad, fruit (applesauce), vegetable (rice), and drink it comes with for just $16.99... Dont forget the breadsticks, mmmm.
