Alcohol, sex and loud, rowdy music. In Las Vegas? What a bizarre concept. Coyote Ugly has made it work for a decade in New York City. And after a borderline hit film raised its name recognition outside Gotham, the Coyote Girls have taken their act on the road to Las Vegas' own slice of the Big Apple, the New York-New York resort. Inside a surprisingly small space on the mezzanine level once occupied by a quiet cigar lounge, the tight-T-shirt-clad gals dispense sexy Southern hospitality with their Jack Daniels shots. Misbehavior is encouraged, as long as no laws are broken. In true honky-tonk style, the place looked old and lived-in at its grand opening. Corrugated tin, old license plates, scratchy hardwood floors and a bra stretched over an elk's head constitute the decor. The two bars are extra wide to accommodate the dancing barmaids, and if the lack of square footage on the floor forces customers closer together, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

not what u'd expect
By flip128 on 10/08/2006
well.. my husband works there, and hes a bar back. people set a standard for this place cuz of the movie.. and its not the same. the girls are aloud to do what they want and they will make a fool out of guys over the microphone who dont tip well. so watch out!! haha. its just a bar... and its very small.. so it will be crowded.. and its hot.. no where to sit.. except for one booth in the back area that no one notices. if u do go in there.. go straight to the back.. theres a bar back there and a booth that is barely used, u get drinks a lot quicker and ur not as crowded. thanks!!

False advertising!
By arvig on 08/25/2006
I'm sorry, but I didn't see one coyote anywhere on the premisis, ugly or otherwise! I can't believe that this false advertising is allowed to take place. That, and even if one were to take a coyote or other canine into the place, they would be frightened, and either run away or lash out and bite someone, due to the bartenders dancing on the bar, and the loud music! Forgive me, but I expect a bar to live up to it's name, and the lack of coyotes, ugly or not shows that this place doesn't at all!
