True to its name, ghostbar feels as if it's hovering over Vegas, a world apart from the chaos below. Located on the 55th floor of the Palms, this club boasts a spectacular view of the Strip and much of the valley. But ghostbar is more than its view -- it's a fun, hip spot to relax, enjoy a cocktail and listen to some great rock and hip-hop music. The room is perfectly rectangular and decked out with space-age bachelor-pad type furnishings. The crowd lounging on those funky silver sofas and chairs is as cool as the decor. Not only does ghostbar offer a 180-degree view from its windows, but you can head outside onto the patio to enjoy an even wider view and the Vegas night air. The patio extends straight out the front of the club and there are two bars on either side. There are a few spots to sit outside, but the crowd mostly comes to stand, mix and mingle. You'll never feel more in touch with Vegas' intangible spirit as when you're standing on the transparent glass section of ghostbar's patio, looking straight down to the pool area hundreds of feet below. It's vertigo, sure, but it feels kind of good. Warning: if you're afraid of heights, you might want to indulge in one of ghostbar's cocktails before you try this. Drink service at ghostbar is quick and drinks average $8 - $9.ghostbar is a small, intimate club and it's immensely popular with the 20- and 30-something crowds. Get there early or buy a nightclub line pass if you don't want to wait.

overrated

This is perhaps one of the most overrated bars West of the Mississippi. There is a view, which is the only reason for heading to the top, but with the VooDoo bar being right across the street why head for the Ghostbar?

Piece of Work

We also had fallen into the trap of thinking the Ghost Bar was going to be this great club and experience. I wish I had read these reviews before we went!!! This place has believed its own advertisement and has no idea what word of mouth can do to a place once everyone realizes this place is a waste of time! I have told everyone I know to avoid this bar at all costs as it is overated and nowhere near the great club atmosphere that many other LV clubs give you. Hell, we had more fun at the bar in the middle of the casino than we did at the Ghost Bar where we stayed for 1 drink and left (3 drinks=$27.00). The tuxedo'd staff goons that hung out all over (all clumped together, I might add) the place looking important but dumb nonetheless seemed to be holding a contest as to who could give the best scowls! Bottom line-AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
