Country music fans finally have an answer to the Hard Rock Cafe. I Love This Bar & Grill is the vision of country music star Toby Keith and is located inside the promenade at Harrah's Hotel and Casino. The down-home country theme is evident throughout the expansive 17,000 square foot venue, with country music memorabilia hanging from its walls, a guitar-shaped bar that fills the middle of the restaurant and live country music always playing in the background. The bar isn't serving moonshine, but you still might be knocked back by of Southern specialties like their Who's Your Daddy margarita and the delightful-sounding Toadsuck Pond. The restaurant's unique menu features many of Keith's southern specialties, taken directly from menus of some of his favorite restaurants in Norman and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Fried bologna sandwiches, pulled pork and barbecue beef ribs are just some of the starring attractions. Sides include backyard favorites like cole slaw, potato salad and baked beans. Dessert choices range from sweet potato pecan pie with bourbon ice cream, to a warm slice of chocolate bread pudding.

Disappointed
By sroxb26653 on 11/16/2007
I had read so much about this bar and was really looking forward to spending time there. We arrived around 9.30, there was a great band on stage but the place was not busy at all and was very brightly lit. We took a seat at the bar and waited to be served. We waited around 10 minutes without anyone approaching us, so we decided to move tables to get something to eat.........the restaurant was closed. We never did get anything to drink or eat, and were really disappointed. We headed off to one of the Duelling Piano's on the strip which was so much better. Hope they can sort this out by the next time we visit.

Wife made me go
By bigmarkwil on 07/08/2007
My wife and I stopped by I Love This Bar & Grill on our most recent trip to Las Vegas. We had a good time there, but I have to comment that the bar top was very dirty. The bartenders entertained everyone at the bar with the twirling bottles, dancing around, ringing bells, buzzers, and whistles. They should have been cleaning the bar. Someone should have been. There was some kind of nasty, sticky, black goo stuff on the bar top that stuck to my shirt. I asked for a towel and the barback looked at me like I asked him to undress. Now, I'm not overly concerned with cleanliness. I lived in a frat house. I say that we had a good time. We did. My wife loves Toby. I was into Toby for over $100 before I even walked into the bar after visiting the souvenir shop. The atmoshere was pretty good. Drinks good but expensive. I wish I could comment on the food. We were going to eat but I lost my appetite. But most importantly, the wife was happy. Money well spent. I have a feeling that Toby would have been pissed about the housekeeping.

Exceeded expectatons.

We stopped after a show and were starving (so it didn't really matter what we ate). From the moment we walked in the door, we were seated by a very pleasant person, our waitress was terrific and had some good suggestions (since ours was just FOOD). We had nachos and pulled pork. It was fabulous. The band was really fine (not overpowering sound where you can't hear your own conversation). We couldn't believe how long their sets were without a break. All in all, the service, the food (both quality and price), the entertainment, and the ambience were of the highest quality. We would recommend it to friends.

Food Just Okay so was the band
By moon32005 on 03/30/2007
Went to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill on a Monday Night. The food was just okay. I had a burger and there was nothing special about it, just a plain burger. The Nachos were huge a pretty tasty. I have heard good things about the pulled pork so if I ever go back I might try that. After dinner we stuck around to hear the band that we heard was supposed to be pretty good. My god were we disappointed. I am not sure how to describe the band accurately when they first started they sounded okay. The drummer was a little to.... um.... flashy I guess would be the right word. He went off on his own in the songs a little too much. The girl, Lucy, was an average singer. She might make it through the first round of American Idol but she missed a lot of notes too. The guitar players were okay at best. The lead guitar was a good player but he didn’t look like he fit with the band. He is not in any of their pictures so I am assuming is new or a transition player till they find someone better. The acoustic player was the worst though. He had a mean look on his face whenever he wasn't singing (badly by the way) or talking (same lines over and over). He looked like he didn't want to be there. The bass player was just cute he smiled a lot a looked like he was having fun. For those of you who know nothing about music you will probably like the band. For those who actually play avoid this place. It's not worth your time or money.
