The Mirage, which revolutionized the concept of the megaresort in 1989 (ancient history in Las Vegas) got tired of being known as yesterday's hot property, and these days taps into the Palms/Hard Rock market of young, good looking party people. Jet, the property's first nightclub, was conceived by The Light Group -- the people behind Mist, Fix and Light. Apparently monosyllabic titles are the keys to hot reputations. JET has 15,000 square feet, three unique rooms and a multilevel environment crafted by designer Jeffrey Beers from wood, stone and arching steel. Each room has its own dance floor, DJ booth and sound system. Option #1: rock, hip-hop and popular dance music; Option #2: house music, featuring guest and international DJs; Option #3: a little bit of everything with a dance beat, from rock to classic '80s tracks. Jet also boasts a one-of-a-kind light and laser grid, state-of-the-art cryogenic effects systems and four full-service bars. European bottle service is available in each room.

I hate this place
By mary85308 on 02/23/2006
It was disorganized and the staff had major attitude. I will never, ever go again. You're night will probably be ruined if you try to wade your way through the confusing masses of people just to get up to the front door.

Dis-organization
By balistikmotorxr on 03/05/2006
Even with VIP passes and on a guest list we waited almost 2 hours in a extremely un-organized line... once inside great music but too many people to even be comfortable....great scenery!

All hype
By kmcarthurpmp on 03/05/2006
All hype, no concerns for the average person waiting in line with a VIP pass. I waited for three hours with a VIP pass, yet was constantly being cut out by 'friends' of the staff and by a lack of organization in the waiting line and who went in. Once inside, staff had attitude, packed and was not a good time. I was staying in a comp $1200/night room at the Venetian and was given the VIP pass, if that gives you any idea of how they treat their 'VIP' pass holders. Everyplace else I went to was great, got bottle service and had a good time. Definitely on the 'Do not go' list.
