On a street where bigger means better, and anything built before 1990 is a candidate for implosion, it's amazing to find a quiet, intimate and unpretentious cocktail lounge where nothing has changed since 1974. The Peppermill's centerpiece is a giant circular fireplace with brass accents, set inside a bubbling pool of water that looks like it was part of the set on 'The Dean Martin Show.' The menu hasn't changed much either; most customers opt for classic lounge libations like Mai Tais and Zombies to wash down the salted almonds on every table. The plush booths in dark corners have hidden their share of illicit romances over the years, but don't expect to meet that special someone here; at the Peppermill, cuddling couples vastly outnumber prowling singles.

Huge amount of good food for reasonable prices
By RiversideFS on 07/25/2008
Been going to Vegas since 1967 and passed this place tons of times until my husband found out Penn of Penn & Teller frequents this restaurant for the Best Cobb Salad ever. Since the salad was a favorite of my husband's, we checked it out the first time we went back; it was huge and the best by my husband's standards also. We decided to have breakfast there also and it was unreal how huge the omeelets were; neither of us could finish it! All I have to say is we go there every time we visit Vegas; food is great, service quick and good, great for people-watching, way-out weird decor.

Heart-Attack-On-A-Plate

Or, as they call it: The Peppermill Omelet...is to die for (literrally) . It's 10 eggs stuffed with turkey and cheese, topped with sliced tomatoes, then drowned in hollandaise sauce...yummy :-) Don't forget to bring your de-fib paddles and nitroglycerine pills!

The Best
By daffydon02 on 06/22/2008
I have been going to Vegas for over 30 years. I was lucky to find the Peppermill while staying at the Stardust. First time there I thought the menu prices were high. After dining there I was awed. Having breakfast there is a must ever time we go to Vegas. One of my favorite breakfast places is the Original Pancake House, but for all around menu the Peppermill is better. We stay at the Riviera just so we can walk next door to have breakfast. That kind of says it all!

A must for early morning breakfast
By MATAG6 on 05/30/2008
It goes without saying that the food is not only great but huge in the morning. The service is outstanding. But , half the fun is people watching! You name it ...you can see it. Great food value plus a show for free!
