HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE and HORRIBL
By grabnerbob on 05/20/2007
First, check-in is NOT ALLOWED until 16:00 and then by the time you get up to the room, have dinner --- THE POOL closes at 18:00 for the day!! The only way you can go swimming in their so-called 5 star pool is to stay 2-3 days. Then you can catch ALL the UV rays during midday that you wish. Second, upon checking in we asked about check-out for the next day and was told to drop the cardkeys in the box at the end of the counter. The bellperson also stated that the next morning --- then a month later we get our Visa bill and here is a $4 charge per card on that bill. They cannot explain why or for what since they are selling out to a Wall Street firm. BULL or BS period. NEVER AGAIN!!!

For the price, you can't beat the Sahara. History and comfort. The Platters, Coaster & Drifters were wonderful. Valet personel were exceptional also. My wife and I are coming back and we are bringing my parents. Great Hotel.

Jordan's Review
By jordan11042004 on 03/14/2005
The Sahara is terrible...my family and I stayed there in February of 2005 for a week. This was my first time ever being in Las Vegas and I was told by numerous people that the Sahara was terrible, but I decided to go into it with an open mind. Little did I know those people were so right. When arriving we had to leave our luggage and walk around the strip for 3 hours until housekeeping could get around to preparing our room for the stay. When getting into the room we find a sign that says we will be paying $3 per day of our visit for a "electricity fee." This is THE MOST RIDICULOUS thing I have ever heard. I'm sorry we were in the "city of lights" and we have to pay for the slot machines to be on!!! On top of that the phone says that all the local calls are free...beware of hidden charges though, they will charge you $1 per call. My comforter had blood all over it, when calling the manager she said "eeeww gross" and that was the end of that, they never came and changed it, nothing. Just kept making the bed the entire week with the blood stained comforter. The rooms are very very dirty, the housekeeping refuses to give you any more than two towels, they say because of the cost of laundry services. Breakfast roomservice dishes sat in the hallway from 7 am until they finally came to pick them up at 11pm, and after three telephone calls to the manager. Half of the slot machines were inoperable, they were constantly "being repaired." The buffet, although cheap, is awful. Save your money and get yourself a 14 inch hotdog at "Slots of Fun." Overall the hotel is terrible. I am now moving to Las Vegas and will be having many people come to visit. I will never allow my friends and loved ones to stay there. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!
