When you're whizzing down East Sahara with an endless trail of cars on your tail, it's hard to spot this store. However, keep a mental note of where it is, because it's definitely worth a visit (after that, you can order delivery). It's located in a squat stone building on the side of the road. Two large signs bear a listing of services: weddings, funerals, proms, bar mitzvahs, banquets... A low-priced bouquet of roses is available for less affluent visitors, fresh flowers are the specialty here, and most if not all arrangements are made to order. The proprietors don't display a lot of the merchandise on the sales floor, but the few arrangements that are available, combined with the half-dozen or so blue ribbons on the front wall, certainly make a statement.

There is no such thing as 'ordinary' when ordering blooms from this local favorite. Whether it's a birthday bouquet for great Aunt Margie or a complete wedding ensemble, Bloomer's delivers a creative masterpiece. Prices are fair, bordering on discount. And what's wrong with that? Best of all, you feel like part of the family after only one order. Ron WANTS to hear of any problems or concerns. This is more than a business, it's his own outlet for a very artistic nature. Everyone at Bloomer's is helpful, friendly and truly concerned about making the right floral match. I'm always deligtfully surprised with every delivery. Nothing is run of the mill at Bloomer's. From the simplest arrangement to the most dramatic, each has an intriguing element that has become their signature. If they don't have what you need, they'll special-order it. My sister lives in frosty Minnesota. I sent her a Birthday Bouquet in December. This alone would present a challenge but she wasn't home when the delivery arrived and the local florist left it on her icy doorstep where it sat (froze) for three hours! To make matters worse, the local florist apparently did not have the ethics of Ron (Bloomer's owner) and opted to skimp on the stems. Fortunately my sister and I are close enough she preferred to be honest with me than have me spend good money on a poor arrangement. I reported the full incident to Bloomer's (as am FYI)and they not only sent my sister a new arrangement through another florist, but me one as well. The card read, 'Thank you for your honesty, confidence, and for giving us the opportunity to serve you.'
