Rate and Write a Review Before Las Vegas began to reinvent itself as a family-friendly travel destination, the Midway at Circus Circus Resort was, for more than 20 years, the only place in town where kids could have as much fun as their parents. The carnival-style games and periodic circus acts are a huge draw for Latino crowds in particular, and on weekends it's as popular as any nightclub or lounge. Located on the mezzanine level above the casino, the Midway is a large open circle that overlooks the casino below and provides the best vantage point for the trapeze artists and other circus acts who perform overhead. Carnival games from dart throwing to dime pitching offer stuffed animals and other prizes for skillful play. There's also an enormous video arcade, a pizza place, the Blue Iguana Mexican Cantina and plenty of security, though parents would be advised to accompany younger children on their visit. The Midway is also where you'll find the famous Horse-Around Bar, the revolving carousel immortalized by Hunter S. Thompson in 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.'
