Drop Bar   

Like the Gaudi Bar at Sunset Station, the Drop Bar at Green Valley Ranch was designed as a signature element of the resort. Creator Rande Gerber (Sky Bar, Whiskey Bar) intended the site as a centrally located meeting place inside the casino, easy to find from the valet or self-parking entrances. The white circular bar is both retro and futuristic, sort of like The Jetsons. Its accentuated by white contemporary style couches and chairs, white asteroid-shaped lights overhead, and statuesque barmaids in go-go boots and tight white tops. Watch the heads turn when they walk through the casino between shifts. Though located in a heavy traffic area of the casino, the Drop Bar is separated from its surroundings by glass-paneled walls draped in sheer metallic fabric, which creates an intimate atmosphere inside. Flat-screen TVs are visible in every direction, and theres video poker on the bar. Though it looks small from the outside, the bar supposedly seats 120. David Hofstede
