been here many times and always great..great food and great service

My wife and I have probably been to LV about 40 times over the last 20 years. Our goal is to find the best place to dine for under $100. On our last trip, we tried Embers for the first time. We found the atmosphere to be plain, and the service to be unprofessional. The food was average. Starting with a small loaf of crunchy french bread, a mediocre salad served from the kitchen, and chateu briand which was carved on a dinner plate. The meat was cooked properly but lacked taste. Comparably, Hugo's Cellar is far superior in every category starting from the atmosphere and service, to the rose, to the gourmet bread basket, to the salad cart, to the bottle water, to the main courses, and finishing with the complimentary dessert. Hugo's only costs about $10 more per person then Embers and is woth every penny. So skip Embers and try Hugo's instead.

Absolutely one of the best meals we've ever had. The chateaubriand was superb. The service was fantastic and the value was outstanding. As Locals- we can become overwhelmed with the choices available. But this one is top notch.
